Summilux-M 24mm f/1.4 ASPH. (Black)
Wide-angle Prime Lens
The Summilux-M 24mm f/1.4 ASPH. from Leica is a fast wide-angle prime lens designed for use with M-mount rangefinder cameras. Optimised for use with the digital M8 camera, it shows virtually no light fall off when at its widest f/1.4 aperture. It also features "6-bit" coding, which allows the digital M camera to identify which lens is being used. The camera can then (optionally) apply a "final stage" software based vignetting correction (for RAW images the lens used is simply recorded, no change is made).
Its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture makes the lens well-suited to working in low light conditions and with shallow depth of field techniques. It uses a series of anomalous partial dispersion glass elements, and one aspherical element, to control colour fringing and aberrations for improved clarity and sharpness. A floating elements system is also included for maintained image quality throughout the focusing range, from 70 cm to infinity.
The Leica Summilux-M 24mm f/1.4 ASPH. Lens comes with a Lens Hood, Lens Hood Cover, and Rear Lens Cap.
