Apo-Sonnar T* 135/2 ZF.2 for Nikon
Telephoto Prime Lens
The 135mm f/2 Apo Sonnar T* ZF.2 Lens from Zeiss is medium telephoto lens for Nikon F Mount. With a bright maximum aperture of f/2 it performs well in low-light conditions, and allows for selective focus control. A nine-blade circular aperture produces pleasing bokeh when working with shallow depth of field.
Optically special anomalous partial dispersion glass minimizes chromatic aberrations and anti-reflective coating reduces reflections and ghosting. It is a compact lens for its focal length and its "floating elements" optical design consists of 11 lens elements in 8 groups with minimal glass-to-air surfaces. This lens design ensures consistent imaging performance throughout the entire focusing range as well as edge to edge sharpness. A rotation angle of 268º enables precise manual focusing and it features a robust all-metal barrel.
The new ZF.2 lenses are an enhanced version of ZF lenses. They feature an electronic interface (CPU) that enables support of all important camera operating modes such as shutter priority, aperture priority and programmed auto exposure or manual exposure settings. Photographers no longer have to set the parameters in the camera menu as the lens now transmits standard data such as focal length, speed and the aperture setting to the camera. This data can then be viewed in the EXIF data of each picture.
