The Canon EF mount SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD from Tamron offers a slightly wider than standard focal length with VC image stablization and enhanced optics. One Low Dispersion element and two aspherical elements work to suppress aberrations and distortions and eBAND and BBAR coatings control flare and ghosting for increased contrast and vibrant colour.

It features a ring-type USD motor for quick, quiet autofocus with full-time manual focus capabilities. It uses an inner focusing design and Floating System to achieve a minimum focusing distance of 11.4" with a maximum magnification of 1:3.4. It features mutliple seals to offer protection from dust and moisture, and uses a fluorine-coated front element to repel fingerprints, smudging, and water.
