Petzval 58mm f/1.9 for Canon EF
Bokeh Control Art Lens
The Petzval 58mm f/1.9 Bokeh Control Art Lens for Canon EF from Lomography is designed to produce an artistic 'swirled' bokeh effect with pronounced field curvature and sharp central focus. Physically the lens is similar in appearance to the first Petzval lens from 1840, however it has been updated to work with DSLR cameras as well as 35mm film. It is also compatible with APS-C sensors where it will provide a 92.8mm equivalent focal length. A Bokeh Control Ring on the top of the lens allows you to adjust the bokeh intensity within a 1-7 Level range.
Optically, the lens uses Russian glass to ensure your images are sharp with accurate colour, and a manual geared rack focus system provides focusing as close as 2 feet away. The aperture is controlled with seven different drop-in style Waterhouse stops, ranging from f/1.9 to f/16. This makes it well-suited to working with shallow depth of field techniques and in low-light conditions.
