AF-S 60mm f/2.8G Micro ED
Macro Lens
The AF-S Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED Lens is a compact and versatile lens for close-up, copy and general photography with a 1:1 reproduction ratio for life-size macro photography and an 18.5 cm minimum focus distance. With a just longer than standard focal length, it is also useful for portraiture and short telephoto applications. When used on a DX-format DSLR it provides an equivalent focal length of 90mm. This is combined with a maximum aperture of f/2.8, making it well-suited to working in low light conditions, and with shallow depth of field techniques.
Featuring an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element and aspherical elements, chromatic and spherical aberrations are reduced, while Nano Crystal and Super Integrated lens coatings improve light transmission and reduce ghosting and flare. A Silent Wave Motor (SWM) and Internal Focusing (IF) system provide fast and near-silent autofocus and an M/A mode switch with manual focus override enables focus to be fine-tuned as needed. A rounded nine-blade aperture produces pleasing out-of-focus areas.
