Versatile Digital Flash
This set contains one Metz mecablitz 76 MZ-5 digital Flash, three NiMH rechargeable batteries and three SCA TTL adapter modules to expand the wireless TTL auxiliary flash capacity to other makes of cameras. Included are the SCA 3202 (Olympus/Panasonic Four Thirds), SCA 3402 (Nikon) and SCA 3502 (Leica) TTL modules.
The handle mount mecablitz 76 MZ-5 is a powerful and versatile digital flash that features an ISO shoe-mount controller unit with LCD display. With a guide number of 249' at ISO 100 and the maximum zoom setting of 105mm, it can easily light your subject or scene. The head can zoom from 24-105mm and in combination with the included wide-angle diffuser can even offer coverage for a 20mm lens. It also features complete bounce capabilities with tilting upward 90° and rotation 90° right and 180° left.
When used with a SCA TTL adapter, the 76 MZ-5 can function as either a wireless master or slave flash with full TTL compatibility. A stroboscopic setting is also available for up to 50 flashes at a rate of 1-50 Hz. Other capabilities include slow, 1st and 2nd curtain synchronisation with the correct adapters and cameras and it will recycle in 0.1 to 5 seconds.
It runs on the included rechargeable NiMH battery pack. Each NiMH rechargeable 1600 mAh battery yields approximately 135 flashes. The recharging time for a completely empty battery is approximately 2.5 hours.
The mecablitz 76 MZ-5 is compatible with SCA 3002 and 300 adapter systems. Here the flash is paired with the Nikon i-TTL with SCA 3402 adapter, Leica TTL with SCA 3502 adapter and Olympus/Panasonic Four Thirds TTL with SCA 3202 adapter.
The Metz SCA 3402 Dedicated Module for Nikon i-TTL brings wireless TTL auxiliary flash capacity to Nikon autofocus cameras. It can also be used with other makes of cameras when combined with Nikon's #3073 SU-4 wireless slave flash controller.
The Metz SCA 3502 Dedicated Module will allow SCA 3002 system flashes to be fully compatible with Leica cameras. This module supports TTL and 2nd curtain sync operation (where supported by the camera and flash), and is also downward compatible with earlier SCA systems. It has been upgraded to be fully compatible with the Leica M8 Digital Camera Guide Number Control (i.e. TTL) system. Please note that it requires an optional 3000C Cord to connect to 45CL4, 60CT-4 and G16 Grip.
The Metz SCA 3202 Dedicated Module will allow SCA 3002 system flashes to be fully compatible with select Olympus, Panasonic and Leica digital cameras. This module supports the TTL and 2nd curtain sync operation (where supported by the camera and flash), and is also downward compatible with earlier SCA systems.
