Bessa R3A
35mm Film Camera Body
The unpretentious Voigtlander Bessa R3A is a compact and lightweight 35mm film camera that handles lowlight conditions well even in low light conditions. This rangefinder camera features an exceptionally bright 1:1 lifesize viewfinder with split image rangefinder patch and brightlines for 40/90, 50, and 75mm lenses, and allows shooting with both eyes open. When paired with a 50mm lens, the frame lines will reveal a bigger area in the viewfinder. Designed with a shorter distance between the film and lens mount than SLRs to render lenses sharper, Bessa R3A's bayonet Leica M-type lens mounts accepts M bayonet-type lenses from Leica, Minolta and Konica; via compatible adapters, all 39mm screw mount lenses from Canon, Leica and Voigtlander are also compatible with the Bessa R3A.
This robustly built camera with its superior rubberised and anodised body covering and many metallic internal parts that contribute, feels solid in one's hands and is designed to last the distance with you. It features TTL centerweighted light metering, a quiet vertical-travel electronic metal focal plane shutter, and a simple clear LED metering system. As a major improvement over its predecessor, the R2, the R3A has an AE (Auto-Exposure) Aperture Priority mode with plus/minus 2 stops compensation on AE.
The R3A is compatible with dioptric correction lenses from the Nikon FM3A and the Voigtlander Trigger WInder for faster, manual film advance.
