The black 12mm f/2 NCS CS Lens for Micro Four Thirds from Samyang is a manual focus wide-angle prime lens with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24mm, designed specifically for use with Micro Four Thirds format image sensors. With a fast maximum aperture of f/2 it is well-suited to working in low-light conditions, and is ideal for photographing architecture, indoor and landscapes.

It features one aspherical element, one hybrid aspherical element and three elements made of low dispersion glass to minimise chromatic aberrations and distortion for sharp true-colour images. A Nano Coating System (NCS) has also been applied to the lens elements to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting. The lens barrel is built with aluminum alloy and it includes a removable petal-style lens hood.
