The comprehensive kit here brings together the DX-format Nikon Z 50 with the two zoom lenses -- Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm VR and Nikkor Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR -- for an extensive variety of photography applications.

The Nikon Z 50 is a cropped mirrorless camera with the versatile Z-mount and is capable for both stills and video applications. Its DX-format 20.9MP CMOS sensor is coupled with the EXPEED 6 image processor to achieve fast overall performance as well as provide high sensitivity, nuanced image quality. The EXPEED 6 processor enables a high full-resolution continuous shooting rate of 11 fps and 30 fps shooting at 8MP.  A broad sensitivity range from ISO 100 - 51200 allows for working in a variety of lighting conditions, and is expandable up to ISO 204800 to cater for extreme low-light situations. The combination of resolution and sensor size promotes clean imagery with reduced noise throughout the sensitivity range and smooth colour transitions. The sensor design also features a reliable 209-point hybrid AF system which provides fast and accurate focusing for both stills and video applications as well as support Eye Detection AF for locking focus onto subjects eyes. UHD 4K video recording at up to 30 fps, Full HD recording at up to 120 fps, and slow motion effects are supported by the Z 50. Photos and video can be fine-tuned using the in-camera image editing function; For injecting extra creative touches to your imagery, you can choose from the available 10 Special Effects Modes and 20 Creative Picture Controls.

The sleek and ergonomic physical design of the Z 50 is characterised by a large 3.2" 1.04m-dot LCD touchscreen which affords bright, clear, and vivid image playback and live view shooting, along with intuitive menu navigations and settings control. In addition, the tilting touchscreen can be flipped under 180° to benefit front-facing selfies. A high-resolution 2.36m-dot OLED EVF provides clear and sharp eye-level viewing and benefits working in brignt conditions. For working in inclement or harsh conditions, the magnesium alloy body is dust-resistant and weather-sealed. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enables wireless photo and video sharing and remote camera control via the Nikon SnapBridge app.

The Z 50 is paired here with the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens: a very compact 24-75mm-equivalent zoom lens that covers wide-angle to portrait perspectives. Optically, the lens incorporates four aspherical and one extra-low dispersion elements to reduce aberrations for clearer and sharper imagery throughout the zoom range. For sharper handheld shooting, the Vibration Reduction image stabilisation reduces the appearance of camera shake by up to 4.5 stops.

Also included in this kit is the NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR lens: a 75-375mm equivalent zoom lens that covers portrait to telephoto perspectives. Optically, the lens incorporate an extra-low dispersion element to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and greater colour accuracy. For sharper handheld shooting, the Vibration Reduction image stabilisation reduces the appearance of camera shake by up to 5 stops.

Both lenses received an application of Super Integrated Coating which aids in suppression of flare and ghosting to achieve better contrast and colour fidelity that is beneficial when working in harsh lighting condition. Each of the lenses utilises a stepping motor to provide fast, silent, and accurate autofocus. Full-time manual focus override for refined focusing is available to suit both stills and video applications; The manual focus can adjusted via the programmable control ring, which can be also set to contol aperture or exposure compensation. An internal focusing design maintains the overall length of the lens during use as well as promotes speedier focusing.
