Bromophen Paper Developer Powder 5L

Ilford Bromophen developer is a phenidone/hydroquinone developer supplied in powder form. It is designed for dish or tray developing all resin coated (RC) and fiber based (FB) black and white photographic papers, in particular Multigrade Warmtone RC and FB papers to get the warmest image tone.

Bromophen comes in two parts that must be diulted before use. Prepare the working solution by mixing in full the solutions from both packets to create the stock solution. Do not mix only a part to make smaller quantities. Then use your stock solution with a standard dilution of 1+3 to create your working solution. Larger quantities can be made by using the appropriate quantities from additional packets.

It is not recommend for high temperature or machine processing, and is not suitable for developing films. Ilford recommends that gloves, eye protection, apron or overall be worn when handling and mixing all chemicals.
