12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 ED (Black)
Wide to telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 from Olympus is a versatile lens designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. With a compact and portable size, and covering a 24-400mm equivalent focal length range, it is an ideal single lens for travel or everyday use. It offers a minimum focusing distance of 22cm at the wide-angle end, with a 0.46x maximum magnification to suit working with close-up subjects.
Optically, the lens uses three aspherical elements, one Super HR (high refractive index) element, and two HR elements to reduce spherical aberrations for improved sharpness with reduced distortion. Additionally, two Super ED (extra-low dispersion) elements and two ED elements are also used to control chromatic aberrations and colour fringing. A ZERO (Zuiko Extra-Low Reflection Optical) coating has also been applied to individual lens elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and colour.
The lens uses a Movie & Stills Compatible AF system to fast and quiet focusing performance, ideal for photo and movie applications, and a rounded seven-blade diaphragm produces attractive out of focus areas. All this is housed inside a weather-sealed exterior that protects against dust and moisture.
