The Sony E-mount AF 45mm f/1.8 FE from Samyang is a standard-length prime lens designed for use with full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless digital cameras. It is also compatible with APS-C models where it will provide a 67.5mm equivalent focal length. Featuring a bright maximum aperture of f/1.8, it is well-suited to working in low light conditions and with shallow depth of field techniques, ideal for creatively isolating your subjects. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces attractive out of focus areas. Optically, the lens features a pair of aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element that work to minimise spherical and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness, clarity, and accurate colour. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to individual lens elements to reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast. A linear STM autofocus motor works with Sony cameras focusing systems for fast, quiet, and accurate autofocusing, while manual focus override is also available for more refined control. An internal focusing design maintains the length of the lens during operation and prevents the front of the lens from rotating during use. A lens hood is also included.
