The Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM is a compact and lightweight ultra-wide-angle lens designed for use with full-frame Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras. Its rectilinear ultra-wide design renders suitable for interior and architectural photography as well as broad landscapes and astrophotography scenes. Moreoever, with a minimum focus distance of only 13mm, you can achieve intimate, close-focusing shots. A bright f/2.8 maximum apertures enables shooting in dimmer conditions as well as greater depth of field control. Optically the lens design utilises one aspherical element to minimise distortion to improve sharpness. Additionally. a Super Spectra coating has been applied to the lens elements to reduce backlit flaring and ghosting in harsher lighting condition for greater contrast and colour neutrality. This prime lens employs a STM stepping focus motor for fast, accurate, and quiet focusing performance that benefits both stills and video applications. Full-time manual focus control is also available. For flexibility, a configurable control ring can be used for adjusting a variety exposure settings. The lens features a rounded seven-blade diaphragm that contributes to a pleasing out of focus effect. A lens cap and dust cap are supplied with the lens.
