The Leica 24-70mm f/2.8 Vario-Elmarit-SL ASPH is a wide-angle to portrait length zoom lens designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras. The versatile focal length range is complemented by the marked sharpness and clarity across all f-stops and focus distances of the lens, thanks to the incorporation of three aspherical elements that reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations. The moderately bright f/2.8 maximum aperture is beneficial for working in a variety of lighting conditions as well as offers greater control when working with shallow depth of field techniques. A quiet and precise autofocus motor suits both stills and video applications. The robust metal construction of the lens is compact and lightweight as the OIS is omitted. Weather sealing enhances the durability of the lens and provide protection when working in harsher environments and inclement weather conditions.
