The Leica Elmarit-M 28mm f/2.8 ASPH Lens is a compact wide-angle manual focus prime lens ideal for street photography. Its eight-element six-group optical design includes one aspherical element to reduce spherical aberrations and distortions to produce sharp images throughout the aperture and focusing ranges. Measuring just over 1" in length, it barely protrudes into the viewfinder field of M cameras. An all-metal threaded lens hood is included with this lens, as well as a threaded protection ring for use when the lens hood is not attached. Metal lens caps are also included.
