Offering a moderate 8x power magnification with a generous field of view of 110m at 1000m, the Leica 8x20 Monovid Monocular is designed to be easy to use and comes in a compact and lightweight form. With a design combination of phase-corrected roof prisms, HDC fully multi-coated optics, and hydrophobic AquaDua coatings, the monocular delivers bright and sharp images. The HDC coatings contributes to abrasion resistance for added exterior lens surfaces protection while AquaDua coating renders the lens easier to clean and remove any dirt, grime, oils, sap, or fingerprints that can interfere with the viewing. Using the supplied special accessory closeup lens, you can focus to a very upclose 25cm, thus enable you to view the tiniest details of nearby objects. A central focusing knob enables the internal focusing. Constructed of aluminium, the housing is nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging in any climate. In addition, it is sealed to be waterproof and submersible to a depth of 5m. A leather case with a silent magnetic fastener and compartment for the included close-up lens is also supplied.
