Compact and durable, the Voigtlander SEPTON 40mm f/2 Aspherical Lens is a fast, wide-to-normal-length prime for mirrorless cameras. An aspherical element is used to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion for impressive clarity and sharpness throughout the aperture range. The lens is also defined by its durable metal barrel, compact pancake design, and bright f/2 maximum aperture, which benefits working with selective focus techniques and also aids working in low-light conditions. Additionally, a 10-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality, and the lens's manual focus operation permits working with subjects as close as 11.8" away.

Additional Details

  • Electronic contacts relay Exif information to the camera for accurate focus assist functions and metadata recording.
  • Dome-shaped screw-on lens hood preserves compact design.
  • Designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras, this lens is also compatible with APS-C models and provides a 60mm equivalent focal length.
