The MGRC (Multigrade RC) Deluxe from Ilford is a 5th generation variable contrast 190 gsm premium quality black and white printing paper with a resin coated base. This paper, which utilises the latest emulsion technology and is additionally robust thanks to a super-coating, is ideal for beginners to darkroom pros as it delivers a full tonal range and exceptional image quality throughout its wide contrast range of grades 00-5. Compared to its predecessor, this paper features a slightly warmer base tint and blacks with greater depth, and an improved mid-grade spacing and a smoother sensometric curve that provides more uniform contrast throughout the tonal range. Its Pearl Finish has a subtle pearlescent finish tthat increases sharpness and clarity and add depth to images. As a variable contrast paper, it responds to seven full grades of contrast during printing, when using multigrade filters, and it is suitable for printing both conventional black and white negatives as well as chromogenic black and white negative films. It is designed for use with all enlargers and can be processed using standard black and white chemistry in either trays or using machine processors. This item consists of 250 sheets of paper.
