Compact aspherical wide-angle lens with delicate focusing lever.
We have revised our previous Ultron 28 mm F2.0 and made it more compact and lighter. In addition, as with the recently introduced Ultron 35 mm F2.0, we now offer two design variants, Type I and Type II. The first version shines in chrome and matte black and has a delicate focusing lever, which will particularly appeal to fans of a very classic look. Type II is monochrome (silver or black) and has a pronounced grip recess for quick and intuitive focusing. The inner workings are identical in both cases. This consists of 10 lens elements in 7 groups, one of which has an aspherical surface. The sharpness performance has been improved compared to the predecessor, and the lens has also been adapted to the requirements of modern image sensors.
Our new Ultron 28 mm F2.0 wide-angle lens offers a wide range of possible uses and delivers image results with strong character, even in difficult lighting situations. The 10 aperture blades ensure an extremely attractive and smooth bokeh. With a weight of 190 g (Type I) or 230 g (Type II), it is always a pleasant companion when looking for that special moment. It is optimized for Leica M cameras, but can also be used on Fujifilm X cameras, Sony E and Nikon Z models. Our corresponding Nah+ system adapters are ideal for this.
Two lens hoods are optionally available, LH-4N in circular form and LH-12 in rectangular design, which allows a slightly higher stray light shielding due to the installation depth.
