The professional Sony 70-400 mm f/4 -5.6 G SSM lens is designed for A-mount full frame cameras to provide high optical performance throughout a wide zoom range suitable for sports, wildlife, events photography and more; when used with APS-C models, the lens affords an equivalent focal range of 105-600mm. The stylish silver lens can also be used on Sony E-Mount mirrorless cameras via suitable Sony LA-EA mount adapters.

Its Supersonic Autofocus motor (SSM AF Motor) complements its clear and sharp optics performance to provide fast focusing. A 9 blade circular aperture enables pleasant bokeh in out of focus areas when using selective focus techniques. A 3-position focus mode/ limit switch on the lens barrel allows quick switch between autofocus and manual, or limiting the focusing range that will shorten the AF time further. Greater user control is further provided by 3 focus hold buttons while Its dust and moisture resistant construction allows working in less than ideal weather.
