The black Sony 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS Alpha E-Mount is a zoom lens designed for use with Sony E-mount APS-C format mirrorless cameras. It offers an equivalent focal length range of 82.5-315mm, making it well-suited to covering everything standard-length portraits to sports and events.
Optically the lens uses two extra-low dispersion glass and an aspherical focusing lens in the centre of the optical path to reduce aberrations throughout the zoom range for consistent image sharpness and clarity. This comes together with an Internal focusing design and linear motor-driven AF system to ensure autofocus is fast and quiet. A separate manual focusing ring capable of Direct Manual Focus is also available, and allows seamless transitions from AF to manual focusing.
An Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation system is also built-in, and reduces the effects of camera shake by approximately 4-stops of shutter speed correction. All this is housed inside a robust aluminium alloy construction.
