The Nikkor 20-35mm f/2.8D IF lens from Nikon is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens that delivers high performance and high speed. It fast and constant f/2.8 maximum aperture is ideal for working in a variety of lighting conditions. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.5m, you can come up close to your subject while shooting. The optical design features 14 elements in 11 groups, including one aspherical element to minimise distortion. The front element receives an application of multilayer Nikon Super Integrated Lens Coating (SIC) that helps reduce flare and ghosting to a minimum for superior colour balnce and reproduction. The autofocus system is enhanced by an IF (Internal Focusing) technology for fast AF performance and a switch mid-barrel affords easy shift beween auto and manual focus modes. Two independent rings affords zooming and focusing control. Although designed with autofocus capabilities, its metal rear Nikon bayonet mount has data terminals and the essential elements to render it compatible with many Nikon manual focus SLR, in which case autofocus would not be plausible.
