A lightweight professional telephoto zoom lens, the EF 70-200mm f/4 IS USM from Canon is a versatile choice suitable for everything from sports to portraiture. The fast f/4 maximum aperture creates pleasing background separation and lets in plenty of light, while a circular aperture diaphragm produces natural-looking out of focus highlights.

An artificial fluorite element and 2 UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) elements help achieve aberration-free images. The minimum focusing distance is 3.9' (1.2m) throughout its entire range of focal lengths. Internal zooming and focusing means that the lens' front element does not rotate.

Two-mode optical image stabilisation (IS) lets you shoot at shutter speeds several stops slower than would otherwise be possible, by providing the equivalent effect of a shutter speed 4 stops faster. Mode 2 is optimised for panning shots of moving subjects.

An Ultrasonic Motor ensures quick and silent autofocus, with full-time manual focus override capacity. A focus range limiting option also enables faster autofocus rates. Two focus distance ranges are available; 1.2m to infinity for closer subjects and 3m to infinity.

Finally, this lens is moisture- and dust- resistant, making it ready for use in even the harshest environments. It is light enough to not need a tripod collar, but for handling purposes there is an optional tripod collar available.

The EF 70-200mm f/4 IS USM lens comes with an E-67 II 67mm Lens Cap, Rear Lens Dust Cap, ET-74 Lens Hood and LP1224 Lens Case. It is fully compatible with the optional Extender EF 1.4x II and 2x II teleconverters (requires f/8 AF sensitivity with EF 2x II).
