These High Grade L DCF 8x42 binoculars are part of Nikon's high grade range. The HG L (L for Lightweight) binoculars feature high grade optics in a conveniently lightweight package, weighing just 795 g. Phase-correction-coated roof prisms with a high-reflection silver coating deliver bright high resolution images, while Nikon’s original multilayer coating attains a high light transmission rate across a wide range of wavelengths and reduces flare and ghosting for excellent colour reproduction.

Turn-and-slide rubber eyecups facilitate easy positioning of eyes at the correct eyepoint, and O-ring seals with nitrogen gas ensure waterproof and fog-free performance. Made from environmentally friendly materials, non-vinyl chloride materials have been used for the body, eyepiece caps, case and strap. The Eco-glass optics are free of lead and arsenic.
