Weather-Sealed Binocular
The 10x42 EDG from Nikon is a premium binocular that features a high-transmission optical path and weather sealed magnesium-alloy housing. With a wide 59.2° viewing angle and 10 ft minimum focusing distance the 10x42 EDG is the right solution for close to mid-range viewing.
EDG series optics use extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements, with dielectric and phase-correction coated prisms for a bright, clear image with true colour. Nikon's Eco-Glass optics are made of responsibly-sourced lenses and prisms that contain no lead or arsenic. A field flattener lens system corrects almost all field curvature and improves clarity along the edge of the field of view.
They feature locking diopter adjustments for each eyepiece, an 18mm eye relief and Turn-and-Slide eyecups with multiple click-stop positions for comfortable viewing. Detachable angled rubber eyecups provide a shield from ambient light. The magnesium-alloy housing is nitrogen-filled for fogproof performance and wrapped in a slip-resistant rubber, with a fast focus adjustment wheel for easy handling.
