Teleconverter 2x for Nikon F
For use with Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 lens
Designed for use with the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 lens, the Nikon F-mount 2x Teleconverter extends the effective focal length, converting it to an effective 300-1200mm f/10-14 lens. This effectively doubles the reach of the 150-600mm lens, with only a two-stop loss in exposure. When attached to the SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 lens, the maximum magnification will change from 1:3.9 to 1:2.
The dedicated design retains communication between the lens and Nikon F-mount cameras, including auto-exposure metering and Vibration Compensation image stabilisation. A BBAR coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting for maintained image quality, and a low dispersion element is included in the optical design to reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing. The lens is finished with a dust- and moisture-resistant construction to match the lens, making it easier to keep working in difficult conditions.
