Phottix
AF Macro Extension Tube (Set of 3)
For Nikon
Designed to enable a lens to focus closer than its normal minimum focusing distance, an extension tube is exceptionally useful for macro photography and allows you to convert almost any lens into a macro lens at a fraction of the cost while maintaining its original optical quality.
The AF Macro Extension Tube Set for Nikon from Phottix has no optics. They are mounted in between the camera body and lens to create more distance between the lens and film plane. By moving the lens further away from the sensor in the camera, the lens is forced to focus much closer than normal. The greater the length of the extension tube, the closer the lens can focus.
These extension tubes maintain electronic contact between lens and body, so autofocus and aperture functions remain operational. Note, however, that since these extension tubes cause a decrease in lenses' f-number, autofocus may not be possible with all lenses.
This set comes with three extension tubes, which can be used individually or in combination to achieve more or less macro capability. Three ring sizes are included: 13mm, 21mm and 36mm.
