The EF-X500 Flash from Fujifilm is designed for use with X-series cameras, where it will offer high-speed sync with wireless control and triggering. Weather-resistant, it is compatible with Fuji's TTL system and features a powerful guide number of 50 m at ISO 100 and 105mm settings, with a zoom range of 24-105mm, equivalent to 16-70mm in APS-C lenses. A pull-out diffuser expands coverage to 20mm, or 10mm with APS-C lenses. In keeping with hybrid stills/video camera designs, an LED light is also included, offering you an alternative fill light option.
For bounce lighting, the EF-X500 can tilt from -10 to 90° and can rotate left 135° and right 180°. Full wireless master and slave TTL functionality uses optical pulse communication to trigger and control remote EF-X500 flashes set up in one of four channels and within three groups. The flash also has a multi flash stroboscopic mode.
The EF-X500 is powered by 4 AA batteries. For shortened charging time and improved number of flashes per charge add the EF-BP1 optional external battery pack.
