Handheld Gimbal 3-Axis Stabiliser
The Crane from Zhiyun-Tech is a 3-axis gimbal stabiliser designed primarily for use with mirrorless cameras, such as the Sony a7S and Panasonic GH5. Featuring 360° unlimited rotation along the 3 axes, it is ideal for low-cost filming applications, from wedding videos to travel films.
Well-tuned by Zhiyun’s self-innovated Instune Algorithm and using optimised high-torque motor control technology, the Crane responds to intense motions or even sudden twists in real-time with precise and smooth compensation while making zero noise with lower power consumption. Its extraordinary steadiness eliminates subtle shakes even when zoomed in x5 in display.
In realising the best work efficiency for individual photographers and film makers, the Crane supports real time control of both Sony and Panasonic cameras through connection of a camera control line, which combines the stabiliser and camera into one gear, saving the trouble of separate controls. Also featuring optimised Bluetooth connection, the Crane allows remote camera attitude control and mode switch for easier and more flexible operations through a specialised palm-size remote control or mobile app.
The gimbal body of the Crane weighs just 950g (excluding batteries) while its valid payload reaches up to 1800g. It is mountable by almost all mirrorless cameras available on the market, and even some DSLR camera models, while allowing for a variety of lens combinations. The standard ¼” threaded hole at the bottom of Crane allows it to be combined with various photography equipment and apparatus to support your work.
Easy-to-use, the Crane requires just 1 min. to get it ready for shooting. By using a thumb screw mounting design, it allows instant manual mounting, dismounting and adjustment of camera anytime anywhere with no need of a screwdriver. Ergonomically designed, it is both compact and sleek, and works like a real crane machine. It can be used one-handed or if you prefer handling your stabiliser with both hands, separately available dual-hand handles can be added to the Crane for better body balance, while reducing the load on one single arm.
