The Elinchrom ELB 1200 Hi-Sync to Roll Set is a comprehensive portable setup that permits the use of professional-quality light in a location far from an electrical outlet - so no shooting location is out-of-bounds for the ELB 1200.

The robust ELB 1200 battery-powered pack features high-sync shutter speed, faster recycling time, and more flashes on a single charge. It can deliver 1200Ws symmetrically or asymmetrically in 1/10 or 1 stop increments with 8.5 stops of power varying from 7 to 1200Ws. There are three available flash modes: Eco, Default, and Fast, with the pack recycling to full power in 1.7 seconds in Fast Mode. The following features enhance user experience: Large OLED control display for settings, flash head recognition, flash duration display, and LED illuminated outlets to indicate which head is active. The lithium-ion battery Air, charger, and sync cord are supplied with the ELB 1200. An Elinchrom ELB 1200 Dock offers the choice of powering via an available mains.

The ELB 1200 is paired here with the Hi-Sync flash head, one of the three heads redesigned to be compatible with the power pack. Ideal for controlling ambient light, freeze action, or when using wide apertures for shallow depth-of-field, the Hi-Sync head is optimised for high-sync shooting up to 1/8000 second. The aluminium-constructed head conserves battery power by utilising a 50W LED modeling light with a tungsten equivalent of 250W. Also suited for video recording, the lamp is daylight balanced with a high CRI of 92 while the fan-cooled head features a Silent Video Mode for sound-sensitive venues. Modelling light settings include On, Free (user-selectable), Proportional (to selected power level), Dimming, and a 1-60 second Timer. Light is shut down after exposure by a Visual Flash Control which then turn it back on when the pack has recycled. The high-sync flash head features a 5/8" receiver for light stands and accepts 7mm and 8mm umbrella shafts. A 18cm wide reflector that accepts Elinchrom 18cm grids is supplied.

The included semi-rigid Elinchrom ProTec 3-Head Rolling Case houses everything in the set and more. It is equipped with modular compartments in different sizes and eight interchangeable dividers that permit full customisation of the case for your equipment. An exterior belt system can hold two light stands or umbrellas. Carry the case anywhere using one of the three handles found on the top, base, and side. Or, wheel the case around if the gear is heavy. A waterproof protective rain cover is handy in inclement weather for protecting the equipment.
