The silver 35mm f/1.4 Distagon T* ZM Lens from Zeiss is a manual focus, wide angle prime lens that is compatible with Zeiss Ikon, Leica M, or Voigtlander M-mount rangefinder cameras. A bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 benefits working in low light, and with shallow depth of field. Optimized for digital sensors, the 35mm focal length offers minimal distortion and compression, for accurate true-to-life proportions.
10 lens elements in seven groups are engineered to eliminate geometric distortions, and the optics are treated with Zeiss T* anti-reflective coatings, for enhanced image contrast and clarity. The lens's aperture ring is adjustable in precise 1/3 steps and controls a 10-bladed iris for smooth bokeh. All of this is housed inside a durable metal body with depth of field, focus distance, and aperture settings clearly marked on the exterior of the lens. It features a focus ring with an ergonomic finger rest for increased speed and precision and a 90° rotation angle that helps prevent the user from accidentally bypassing the desired focus point.
