Japan Camera Hunter

StreetPan 400 35mm Film (36 Exposure)

Panchromatic Monochrome 35mm Film

Designed to produce a contrast-rich black and white image, StreetPan 400 from Japan Camera Hunter is a versatile panchromatic film ideal for photographers who love to shoot monochrome. A very fine grain combined with the high speed of this film make it a great choice for use in a wide range of weather conditions, perfect for everything from street photography to use in traffic infringement cameras.

The spectral sensitivity is extended in the near infrared range, with panchromatic colour sensitivity up to 750 nm. This allows the film to penetrate through haze, fog and other atmospheric conditions for sharp, clear images. Due to its sensitivity to red light, JCH StreetPan 400 is also the optimum film for dawn, dusk and winter photography, and allows for nocturne red flash photography as well as daylight photography.

Although featuring a high speed, the graininess of the emulsion is low thanks to the 2-layer emulsion architecture. The emulsion is coated onto a transparent 0.10 mm polyester base to provide excellent dimensional stability. A gelatine back coating also works to prevent scratches on the back of the film which could be picked-up by image scanners. This makes the film very scanner-friendly. Base substrate layers provide permanent anti-static properties to the film, at exposure and after processing.

A low fog level at high temperature processing makes the film suitable for high volume processing applications. The image contrast can be controlled by the processing parameters. JCH StreetPan 400 can be processed as a low contrast film for good and average weather photography and as a medium contrast film for bad weather photography. The film shows excellent storage stability before use and low latent image drift after exposure.

The film sensitivity can vary with processing. JCH StreetPan 400 can be exposed as a 200 to 500 ASA/ISO film.

This listing is for one 36 exposure roll of 35mm film.
