9 lens elements in six groups are engineered to eliminate geometric distortions, and the optics are treated with Zeiss T* anti-reflective coatings, for enhanced image contrast and clarity. 1/3 stop interval click stops allow for exact exposure. A 10-bladed iris produces smooth bokeh, and it features a minimum focusing distance of 0.7 m.
