Vintage Line Color-Skopar 21mm f/3.5 Aspherical
Leica M-Mount Prime Lens
The Color-Skopar 21mm f/3.5 Aspherical from Leica is a sharp and fast manual focus M-mount prime lens, designed for use with Voigtlander's Bessa cameras, as well as Leica's M rangefinders. As part of what Leica is calling its Vintage Line the lens is styled with a retro 1950s look, while the optical construction uses modern technology to match digital sensors as well as film. Featuring a maximum aperture of f/3.5, the physical size of the lens has been kept small, making it an ideal walk-around option.
The full-metal body holds nine lens elements in eight groups to deliver exceptional image quality starting from a minimum focusing distance of 50 cm. A small lever on the focus ring enables a quick change of the focusing distance without having to pay attention to the scale, making it ideal for street photography. One aspherical element is used in the optical design, and helps to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion. This is complimented by a 10 bladed iris for producing smooth out of focus areas.
