Wide-angle Lens for Nikon F-Mount
The Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AS UMC Nikon F mount Lens is a manual focus wide-angle lens designed for use with both full-frame and APS-C sized sensors where it is well-suited to capturing a variety of subjects from landscape to portraiture. When combined with an APS-C sensor it provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 52.5mm. It features a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture to benefit working in low-light conditions and for greater control over selective focus and shallow depth of field effects.
The optical design uses two high refractive index elements and one aspherical element to minimise chromatic aberrations, and a UMC coating has also been applied to lens elements to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting. The lens also uses an AE microprocessor that enables the camera to electronically confirm focus and also permits in-camera manual focus confirmation.
