The AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.4 E ED is a fast and versatile wide-angle prime lens that is designed for FX-format F-mount DSLRs. Pairing with the comfortable focal length is the bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, which benefits working in low-light conditions and also offers increased control over depth of field.
The optical construction utilises two Extra Low-Dispersion (ED) glass elements and three Aspherical (AS) lens elements to correct chromatic aberrations and colour fringing for notable clarity and colour fidelity. Nano Crystal (N) and Super Integrated Coatings have also been applied to suppress lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast when working in strong lighting conditions.
A Fluorine Coat effectively repels dust and drips while all movable parts are sealed for further protection from the elements. To provide smooth, highly accurate focusing with comfortable operation, focus ring operation was refined for optimum torque and usability while manually focusing.
