The 135mm f/2 AI-s from Nikon is a fast manual-focus telephoto lens. With a maximum aperture of f/2 and a 9-blade diaphragm it produces pleasing defocused backgrounds, ideal for portraiture. The manual focus is smooth and easy to control thanks to the metal, rubber covered focus ring.
A built-in telescoping metal hood is included, and helps to reduce lens flare by shielding the lens from stray light. This is complimented by a solid all-metal construction, designed to be durable enough to withstand professional use.
This lens if compatible with the electronic manual focus indicators of most professional AF cameras, however is not compatible with the meters of some digital and film cameras, and will require exposure to be manually metered. It is recommended that you check your camera's compatibility before selecting a new lens.
