Leica
35mm f/3.5 Summaron-M (With Finder)
M-bayonet Lens
The 35mm f/3.5 Summaron from Leica is a wide angle M-bayonet lens, available here with the ‘goggles’ finder that makes it usable with the Leica M3. The viewfinder on the Leica M3 only has frame lines for 50mm, 90mm and 135mm lenses, so this viewfinder attachment corrects the field of view to match that of the lens and allow accurate framing. The goggles are detachable simply by loosening the screw on the top of the housing, making it easy to pack the lens down for carrying or storage. Note that they can only be removed with the lens focused on infinity and, after removal, the lens is then locked at infinity. The lens uses a 6 element, 4 group optical design, with a 10-blade diaphragm. It features a close focusing distance of 1 metre.
