Building on the proven imaging capabilities of the RX100-series platform, the Sony ZV-1 receives an updated physical design that enhances content creation for vloggers and influencers alike. A side flip-out 3" 921.6k-dot LCD touchscreen and a directional 3-capsule microphone designed for forward-directional audio recording are the ideal features combination for front-facing recording. An included windscreen for the built-in mic may be utilised for cleaner audio when recording outdoors.
The sleek and lightweight ZV-1 is not only highly portable, it also features a large right-hand grip, a front tally lamp to visually indicate ongoing recording, and a larger REC button the top plate, all of which are ideal for one handed recording. Further supporting quality recording while walking is the Active SteadyShot image stabilisation that steadies footage and reduces appearance of camera shake. Furthermore, an built-in ND filter benefits this mode in bright lighting conditions by controlling overexposure; The Soft Skin Effect helps subjects attain that natural, smooth complexion while Refined Colour Science optimises skin tones for any subject for a healthy natural look; Face Priority Auto-Exposure works out and adjusts the exposure to ensure that a subject's face is depicted in ideal brightness, even as the subject is moving to areas of different lighting.
