The Leica X2 with Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 ASPH Lens is a lightweight and highly capable digital compact camera featuring a 16.1 megapixel CMOS APS-C format sensor. This sensor offers impressive low-light performance up to ISO 12500 with low noise, high dynamic range and accurate colour.
The wide-angle Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 ASPH. non-interchangeable lens uses 8 elements in 6 groups with 1 aspheric lens. Thanks to the 1.5 crop factor of the camera's sensor, this provides a versatile 35mm fomat equivalent focal length of approximately 35mm.
Autofocus is fast, precise and near-silent, with the choice of different AF modes such as face recognition. The camera records both JPEG and DNG file formats.
Constructed by hand in the Leica factory, it is robust and solidly built with a full metal chassis, comfortable leather trim and grip, and a design reminiscent of the Leica M. The X2 also gives you full control with easy switching between automatic and manual settings, with shutter speed and aperture dials. A 2.7" LCD screen with 230,000 pixels and 100% field of view offers live view and precision focusing. It is also possible to add an optional optical or electronic Leica viewfinder to the accessory shoe. The X2 is finished with a retractable flash, which serves as a main flash but can also be used as a fill-in flash and can be synchronised to the second shutter curtain.
This Leica X2 was customized through Leica's A la Carte program and features a leather covering with titanium colour finish.
