Prime lens
A fast wide-angle prime lens, the black Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH. Lens is designed for use with Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras and offers a versatile 35mm-equivalent focal length of 30mm. Its bright maximum aperture of f/1.7 makes it well-suited to working in low-light conditions and provides greater control over depth of field for selective focus techniques.
The optical design uses three aspherical elements to reduce distortion and spherical aberration, and a Nano Surface Coating has been applied to the lens elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting for sharp, clear images, with rich contrast and accurate colour. This is complimented by a rounded seven-blade diaphragm that works to produce a pleasing bokeh quality.
Benefitting both still shooting and movie recording, autofocus is fast, smooth and precise, thanks to an internal focusing system and stepping AF motor. The lens is finished with a metal lens barrel that features a dedicated MF/AF switch and a manual aperture ring for more intuitive operation.
