The XF 35mm f/2 R WR Lens from Fujifilm is designed for use with their APS-C format X-series cameras, where it will provide a 35mm equivalent focal length of 53mm. It features a fast maximum aperture of f/2, making it well-suited to working in low-light conditions and for selective control of depth-of-field. A rounded 9-blade diaphragm ensures that out of focus areas are smooth and pleasing. A 9 element in 6 group design incorporates two ED and two aspherical elements to minimize distortions and aberrations, and it uses a Nano-GI coating to reduce ghosting and flare.
There is a physical aperture ring present for manual control, and it uses a fast and near-silent internally focusing AF system with the ability to acquire focus in as little as 0.08 seconds. With eight seals used in the lens barrel, it is weather and dust resistant, and capable of functioning in temperatures as low as -10°C.
