The X-T2 is a powerful mirrorless digital camera from Fujifilm equiped with a range of features to meet the needs of the working professional photographer, including UHD 4K video recording. Featuring a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III image sensor without an optical low-pass filter and X-Processor Pro Engine, the X-T2 will enable you to swiftly capture finely detailed imagery with low noise at sensitivities up to ISO 51200. When compared with conventional pixel patterns, the X-Trans design more closely mimics the organic nature of film in order to produce subtle colours and smooth tonal transitions, while also reducing moiré and aliasing.
This impressive combination also allows images to be captured at up to 8 fps with full AF tracking or at up to 14 fps using the silent electronic shutter. Blending both phase- and contrast-detection focusing methods, the Intelligent Hybrid AF system with 325 points ensures fast and accurate tracking of subjects in all modes. An electronic shutter function permits using shutter speeds up to 1/32,000 sec for working with wide aperture settings in bright lighting conditions, and built-in Wi-Fi enables wireless transferring of imagery to linked mobile devices as well as remote control over camera settings and the shutter via the free Fujifilm Camera Remote app.
For video, the X-T2 offers internal UHD 4K video as well as an 8-bit 4:2:2 HDMI output. The internal recording offers 100 Mbps bitrate and an F-Log Gamma setting is available for capturing a flat picture best used in serious grading applications. Fuji's variety of Film Simulations and Grain Effects can also be applied, for both stills and video shooting.
Physically the X-T2 features improved handling with various features including a larger grip, locking dials and raised buttons. The weather-sealed magnesium alloy body also includes a 0.5" 0.77x 2.36m-dot OLED EVF with a larger eyecup and a base refresh rate of 60 fps, which can be boosted to 100 fps. Alternatively, use the 3.0" 1.04m-dot three-way tilting LCD screen to compose and view your images. A focus lever joystick allows for rapidly adjusting and changing the selected AF point or area, while dual UHS-II compatible SD card slots allow for a versatile and reliable means of storing your imagery.
Available here in stylish graphite silver, the camera is treated with a multi-layer coating to acheive its fine finish. The first layer is a matte black undercoat, applied to the magnesium top cover. This undercoat delivers deeper blacks in shadow areas to make highlights stand out. The second layer uses Thin-film Multilayer Coating Technology to apply graphite silver for an incredibly smooth result, and the third layer is a clear varnish for a glossy finish.
This graphite silver version of the X-T2 also comes supplied with tailor-made accessories including a premium leather strap, aluminum hot shoe cover and matching EF-X8 hot-shoe mount flash.
