EOS M3
Cropped Mirrorless Camera Body
The black EOS M3 mirrorless camera body from Canon features a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 6 Image Processor to achieve impressive image quality and high resolution imagery in both still and video applications. The M3 provides an ISO sensitivity range of 100 to 12,800, which can be expanded to 25600 for faster shutter speeds and sharper details in dimmer conditions. An advanced Hybrid CMOS AF III autofocus system enables focusing at up to 6.1x faster than the EOS M. This is possible in part due to the 49 phase-detect points covering 80% of the vertical frame and 70% of the horizontal frame. The M3 can capture up to 4.2 frames per second for a 1,000 JPEG images or 5 RAW images. The Creative Assist mode enables you to see any camera adjustments in real time before you decide to save and share the selected settings. In addition, Multi Shot Noise Reduction retains the smaller details at high ISO speeds. By activating the MSNR, the camera will take four consecutive shots of the same image before merging and aligning them to create a final image with reduced noise and blur.
The physical body of M3 is characterised by an intuitive 3.0" 1,040k-dot touchscreen LCD which you can use to focus and shoot an image by tapping on the screen. Its upward tilt of 180° and downward tilt of 45° provides for ease of composing and shooting of selfies and low-angle shots. A front dial as well as an exposure compensation dial allows full manual control over the camera's settings. A built-in flash with a guide number of 5 at ISO 100 has a recycle time of 3 seconds and can sync up to 1/200 seconds. An external flash or trigger an be mounted to the camera via an integrated E-TTL II-compatible hot shoe. The sensor automatically self-cleans to remove dust on the low pass filter whether the camera is on or off. Finally, Wi-FI and NFC connectively enables easy data transferring.
