The Sony ECM-B1M High Performance Shotgun Microphone is designed for mounting on Sony cameras with Multi Interface Shoe. It is equipped with eight high-performance mic capsules and advanced digital signal processing that provides three directivity pattern options - supercardioid, cardioid, and omnidirectional, to suit a variety of shooting and recording situations. Benefitting from Sony a7R IV's built-in Digital Audio Interface, this microphone is capable of delivering high quality, low noise digital audio stream directly to the camera via its Multi Interface Shoe. The microphone is also available for use with Sony cameras with the standard Multi Interface Shoe by selecting the analog output. Besides a low-cut filter that eliminates subsonic noise through digital signal processing to maximise audio quality during recording, an advanced shock and vibration noise suppression design also reduce degradation from low frequency or handling noise. in addition, a fur windscreen is included to reduce noise from wind during a outdoor shoot or recording.

Adding to the versatility of microphone are the record level control and an attenuator for setting optimum signal levels. Installation of the ultra compact ECM-B1M is simple as the microphone clips directly into the Multi Interface Shoe for audio connections and direct power, eliminating any need for batteries or cables and enabling you to begin recording at anytime and anywhere.
