On-Camera Shotgun Microphone

Designed for optimal on-camera use, the VideoMic NTG is a broadcast-grade shotgun microphone that is packed with features. It draws on the same acoustic design as the NTG5 broadcast shotgun microphone to deliver a natural, uncoloured sound and unmatched frequency. A combination of impressively flat frequency response, highly directional supercardioid polar pattern, and very low self-noise enables this compact on-camera microphone to deliver notably high quality recording.

Besides its outstanding sound, the VideoMic NTG is endowed with an array of tools and features to render it capable of performing in varying recording situations. This microphone also features digital switching, which allows access to a high-pass filter, -20dB pad, high frequency boost, and safety channel. A special infinitely variable control permits precise tailoring of the output to meet any needs while its auto-sensing 3.5mm output renders adaptor cables unnecessary by being able to detect what device it is connected to and accomodate accordingly. In addition, a handy new dB peak warning light helps you to ensure your audio is not clipping.

Truly versatile, the VideoMic NTG not only works beautifully with DSLRs and compact cameras as a on-camera microphone, boom mic, or on a pistol grip, it is also a fully-featured USB microphone that can be plugged into a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Furthermore, the 3.5mm jack can be used as a headphone output to allow seamless audio monitoring while using the USB output.

This microphone comes supplied with a SM7-R camera mount, a foam windshield, a SC10 cable, and a 1.2m USB-C cable.
