APO-Macro-Summarit-S 120mm f/2.5 CS
Macro & Telephoto Lens
The APO-Macro-Summarit-S 120mm f/2.5 CS from Leica is a close-up lens with a reproduction scale of 1:2 and a high-speed telephoto, making it well-suited to a variety of applications. It uses an inner focusing system with a floating element, and special grades of glass and aspherical surfaces for consistently high image performance across the entire image field at all apertures. Vignetting, distortion and chromatic aberrations have been virtually eliminated.
The lens uses an integrated Central (leaf) Shutter design that enables flash units to be used at a shutter speed of 1/500 section, creating more options for eliminating unwanted ambient light and capturing fast action. The shutter also has an electronically-controlled drive guaranteeing reliable, fast exposure times and low energy consumption.
Equipped with Leica's very own microprocessor for precise autofocus and aperture control with silent gearing, the focus ring allows an override of the autofocus system at any time. The lens is produced to extremely narrow tolerances, with each lens centred by hand, guaranteeing superior quality and optical performance. It uses a S-bayonet mount for rapid and exact connection between the camera and lens.
