The Mitakon Minolta MD to Sony E-Mount Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II enables Minolta MD lenses to mount on Sony E-Mount APS-C format cameras.

The four-elements-in-four-groups optical design concentrate the light from the Minolta MD full frame lens onto the camera's APS-C sensor to render an increase in the angle of view by 0.73x and the lens' maximum aperture by 1 f-stop, thus approximating close to a full-frame coverage on a non-full-frame sensor and improving the lens' performance in low-light conditions.

In the Mark II version of this adapter, the lens is securely attached to the mount via a push-button, side locking knob. The adapter 's aluminium and plastic components contributes to lighter weight while its mounting rings constructed of stainless steel are durable. As a manual adapter, the Lens Turbo does not permit electronic communication between lens and camera. The adapter can be used with Minolta MD-mount lenses that have their aperture settings adjusted via their aperture control rings and the Sony E-mount APS-C camera set to manual mode.

Please note that the adapter may not be physically compatible with all Minolta MD-mount lenses: lenses with rear optics that extend past more that 3mm past the lens mount are not recommended for use with this Lens Turbo Adapter.
