Canon EF Lens to Sony E Adapter
The T Smart Adapter Mark V for Canon EF Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera from Metabones allows you to mount your Canon EF mount lenses to a Sony E-mount Camera. It is referred to as a "Smart Adapter" because it retains electronic communication between the camera and lens. If the lens includes autofocus, image stabilisation, or camera-controlled aperture functions, those features will continue to be available. EXIF metadata will also be recorded when this adapter is used with a directly compatible camera, if the attached lens is capable of generating this information. No external power source is required as the adapter is powered by the camera body.
Constructed from durable aluminum alloy, it features a matte black internal coating to minimize reflections within the adapter barrel. It also features a wide internal diameter to support the movements of compatible tilt-shift lenses. A custom function button (called Focus Hold button) is assignable to more than 50 functions, such as Aperture Preview and Eye-AF, on A9, A7 series, A6500 and A6300. A dedicated switch controls in-body image stabilization (IBIS) on Sony cameras equipped with SteadyShot INSIDE. The EF - E mount lens adapter comes with a detachable tripod foot that features a 3/8" thread, and is compatible with Arca Swiss ball heads. A rubber gasket protects the E-mount connection from dust and moisture.
Please note that while Canon EF-S or third-party APS-C EF-mount lenses may be used with the T Smart Adapter Mark V, vignetting may occur when these lenses are combined with this adapter and a Sony E-mount camera with an APS-C sized sensor. Canon EF-S and third-party APS-C EF lenses are designed to project an image onto sensors measuring 22.3 x 14.9mm, while Sony E-Mount APS-C cameras feature sensors that measure 23.5 x 15.6mm.
