Canon EF to Sony E-Mount Lens Adapter
The T Speed Booster Ultra II 0.71x Adapter for Canon Full-Frame EF-Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera from Metabones allows a full-frame Canon EF-mount lens to be mounted onto a Sony APS-C or Super35 format E-mount camera. The adapter's optics help to increase the apparent angle of view of your full-frame lens by 0.71x, effectively eliminating the crop factor of an APS-C camera, while providing a 1-stop increase for the camera over the lens's aperture range. This fifth-generation model features a rubber gasket to protect the camera's mount from dust and moisture, offers a status notification LED light to check operation modes, and provides a dedicated switch that controls in-body image stabilisation of select cameras. Also, this version is compatible with the Sony PXW-FS7 Mark II video camera.
Referred to as a "Smart Adapter", the T Speed Booster Ultra II 0.71x retains electronic communication between the camera and lens. Featuring a high-performance 32-bit processor, it supports both phase-detect and contrast-detect AF systems, as well as the ability to control the aperture from the camera body. Smooth iris effects are possible on select lenses, and 5-axis stabilisation is available thanks to communication of distance information with supported lenses. It also features a programmable function button, enables electronic (focus-by-wire) manual focusing with lenses such as the Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II, transmits EXIF data to the camera, and works with in-lens image stabilisation. Additionally, distance and zoom is displayed on certain camcorders and mirrorless cameras, auto magnify can be enabled, and it can automatically switch into APS-C mode, depending on the lens used.
Constructed from durable aluminum alloy with brass mounting rings, it features black felt flocking inside the adapter to prevent reflections. Its five lens elements in four groups use ultra-high index tantalum-based glass, ensuring optical clarity and true colour. It comes with a detachable tripod foot with 1/4"-20 thread on the base, and is compatible with Arca Swiss tripod heads. It is powered by the camera body.
